As a core issue of China national strategy, the bio-based industry is entering a bonus period of policy, technological, and market convergence. Globally, ESG disclosure has become standard practice for enterprises, and bio-based materials have been gradually industrialized, with their application penetration rates continuously increasing in packaging, textiles, consumer goods, transportation and agriculture.

The bio-based industry is about to enter the next stage: on the one hand, accelerated policy guidance, standardization, and innovative investment promote large-scale applications in new scenarios both domestically and internationally; on the other hand, the bio-based industry is expanding towards diversification and application adaptability.

To build industry consensus and promote cooperation opportunities, Key Laboratory of Bio-based Polymeric Materials Technology and Application of Zhejiang Province and Ningbo DT New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. will build upon ten years of experience to host the 2026 (11th) Bio-based Conference and Exhibition (Bio-based 2026) in Shanghai from May 20-22, 2026. Themed "Crossing a New Cycle, Embracing New Vitality," this conference will invite leaders, experts, and downstream application brands from representative companies in the bio-based industry to conduct in-depth exchanges and cooperation. It is expected to attract 2,000 participants and have nearly 60 booths, jointly promoting new economic growth points in the bio-based industry.
